You’ll notice that the blog now includes Twitter. As the editor of this blog, I’m constantly thinking about ways to expand its coverage of what’s unique about Salt Lake City. Often, I’ll be using Twitter to talk about ideas, projects, topics that I’m doing or considering. As well, because Twitter posts are a great exercise in brevity — 140 characters or less — I can share tips and insights that might not necessarily be covered in detailed, longer posts. Finally, I can follow people and see what’s hot at the moment. That’s the beauty about Twitter. It’s a great way of gathering “intelligence” about SLC.

And, I’ll hope you join me on Twitter. The service is free and it’s easy to register your account. I’ll be “twittering” and I do hope to see posts from you as well that inform, provide breaking news, share ideas, engage thoughtful questions, and highlight links to interesting posts in other blogs, news articles, and Web sites.

Think of Twitter as a great way of building community online and on the streets of Salt Lake City.
