There are no dreary browns in Midgley’s agricultural paradigm.
Basil grows in the outdoors, protected with ample layers of plastic covers at night to insulate them against the late season chill. Midgley has prepared for winter, starting to mulch plants, installing tunnels to enhance plant growth, and reinforcing his greenhouse insulation which means that his indoor heirloom tomatoes continue to bear fruit.
As scheduled, and the weather will be unseasonably mild, Midgley will offer his latest fresh produce tomorrow (Nov. 15) at the Oasis Cafe (151 S 500 E) between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Be warned that his customer traffic is active. His offerings include plenty of Utah tomatoes, apples, plenty of salad and cooking greens, onions, leeks, parsnips, carrots, fresh eggs, and squash.
