Thanks for your review -- we appreciate the kind words.

In our view, the groundswell IS a threat. People need to pay attention. But rather than rail against it as "The Cult of the Amateur" suggests, we advise people to accept that they are no longer in charge of their brands, if they ever were, and to find ways to succeed in the new world.

The response has been pretty positive, partly due to reviews like this. Thanks again.

Liberty Fresh has been carrying fine chocolate for a number of years. They have some duplicates with Tony, but are mostly a complementary selection of similar quality.

This also holds true for the cheese selection. Also, here I give the nod to Liberty for their selections.

Jake's just plain talented.
No idle hands shall his wrists be attached to. New Zealand is a crazy distance from Utah in both distance and culture and I can't wait to explore Auckland in the wake of Jakes artistic expression.
He drives like shit though.

One correction: The Open Studio is a private party to which every cool person in Salt Lake is invited, whether they received an actual card in the mail or not. Public events have arcane rules and restrictions regarding adult beverages that private parties do not, and we are simply trying to navigate the labyrinth of Utah's enlightened liquor laws. We will not be checking who has invitations and who does not, and certainly nobody will be turned away at the door who is not on the list. However, nobody under 21 will be served alcohol at this event, so don't even try. We'll have lots of other legal liquid options for teetotalers and minors.

If you'd like to be on our invitation list, simply email me at bslaugh@comcast.net.

Activists that want to make an important change should go after intensive chicken farming. That would be worthwhile.
Once a year another couple, my wife and I get a full lobe and cook 4-5 courses with it. It's fantastic. We go from a cold tourchon on toast to seared over everything from an apple salad to steak, butter poached lobster and sweetbreads. Yummmmm.

Caffe d’Bolla is indeed the real deal, and the only one in SLC. I travel a lot. Although, I haven't had a client in the NW, I've hit many of the big name places. I've been to both Murky (DC) and Grumpies (NYC) in the last few months. Neither of them are any better than what we have here.

I believe that Liberty Fresh also carries the Jamòn Iberico de Bellota. They had it the last time I was there.

Where to begin about Caffe D'Bolla. Rarely do small businesses come this close to perfection. D'bolla is truly a culture of excellence behind The Zion Curtain. I would never recommend anyone go to another shop than D'Bolla for the "Best Damn Coffee" ever. I have traveled far and wide, and everywhere I go I seek out coffee shop's that are local and unique. While most fit that profile, their coffee is tragically horrible in most cases. The exception is Seattle...but who is surprised about that?
In short, you want the best espresso you have ever had...go to D'Bolla...You need espresso...go to D'Bolla...never had Bubble Tea....they've got you covered. Don’t hesitate...GO TO D'BOLLA!

Breathtaking! Lynn told me of your photographic passion when he spent time with you in Mexico - staying up to all hours of the morning trying to capture the perfect light to photograph the ocean. It takes a very dedicated person to perfect a skill. As you know, a real photographer 'waits' for his/her shot - and usually, waits and waits and waits. Congratulations on raising above the pedestrial level to seek a higher level of excellence. As you go through life, documenting and creating beauty, we will be cheering you on. Best wishes!
